The old video seems to have been deleted so I made a new one.
You can use cardboard cones or plastic cones, they need to fit over the beater and in a way that you can lodge it on firmly for it to turn symmetrically around it´s own axis (otherwise it´ll spin off and give your arm the shakes).
Closeup video to show you how to move the thread along the cone for even spread and easier to knit off. In the beginning you can be real slow to add bulk but when it gets thicker you need to move your hand faster back and forth and also adjust the tension to tighter once in a while.
